With Notify.com, Subjects are the categories of messages users subscribe to. Subjects can be anything from high-priority alerts for security threats or weather emergencies, to informational notifications of a change in class schedules.

People in your organization with Notify.com administrator accounts create Subjects in the form of a cascading list, or hierarchy. The purpose of the hierarchy is to provide users with a logical means by which to select notifications for a single subject, or a related group of Subjects.

In this example, a Subject hierarchy named Alarms consists of Subjects for Building 1, Building 2 and Building 3. Each of the three Building Subjects consist of more specific categories of door alarms, front desk and power outages. Notify.com users will have the option to subscribe to individual Subjects in the Alarms hierarchy, or to logically related branches of the tree structure.

By creating Subject hierarchies to logically divide message subscriptions, Notify.com users have the opportunity to select related areas of interest with a single mouse click.
